Actress, Fox News commentator, and outspoken Republic Stacey Dash is running for Congress in California. The Clueless actress filed paperwork in California's 44th district, a seat currently held by Democrat Nanette Barragán. California's 44th district represents Compton, Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach.
While she has not released a public statement, Dash teased the idea to her followers on Twitter, saying, "A number of people online and off have suggested I run for political office. I wanted to see what my online community thinks of this idea as I mull the possibilities. Thoughts?"

The 51-year-old has been a polarizing media figure throughout her transition from teen actress to conservative pundit, taking a controversial stance on most issues affecting people of color. She received 'Donkey Of The Day' from Charlamagne Tha God for calling Maxine Waters a "buffoon."
She recently tweeted, "Come to my account for the straight news. Formal statements coming."
