  • Spooktacular fun for all ages awaits those who dare enter the Springs Preserve's annual Haunted Harvest. The family-friendly event features trick-or-treat candy stations to visit throughout the “Bootanical” Garden, carnival games, a hay maze and petting zoo, monster training, craft activities, live entertainment, food vendors, and much more fun.

Storytime Train at Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City

  • 10:00am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, 2:30pm

  • Bring the kids (regardless of age) and have a fun time riding the train, coloring, doing a craft, and listening to a children's story.  Purchase regular tickets to ride the train and join our Storytime Crew in the dining car of the train, on the regularly scheduled train runs.  We furnish the coloring pages and markers, craft materials, and the story.  Sit with your kids, have fun, take photos or videos, and watch the beautiful desert scenery from the comfort of our train.


Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at Discovery Children's Museum

  • DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is celebrating its birthday on Sunday, Sept. 9 with special activities and art projects at the museum, cupcakes, balloons and more. Organizations throughout Las Vegas are invited to join the Day of Play by adding children’s activities to their business space for the day to spread DISCOVERY’s mission of educating through hands-on fun.

  • Join us for a celebration of all things autumn at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. This lush green oasis in the desert is one of the few places near Las Vegas where you can watch the leaves change from emerald to gold and enjoy the cool, crisp fall air. Join us for activities and crafts like aerial apple-bobbing, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin golf, and leaf rubbing. A haunted hike on our trails and hay-rides on our pastures beneath the towering Red Rock Canyon escarpment await those that venture out of the city. We will also host a pumpkin carving contest for the best pumpkins carved by kids and adults. If you would like to participate, you will need to please bring your own pumpkins, and all participants are invited to wear their Halloween costumes! Some sweet treats will be for sale so make sure to bring cash for snacks.
