Discovery Walk: Bats & the Park at Clark County Wetlands Park

  • New to the area or just looking for a great place to explore? Join a nature guide to discover some of the best places to walk in the Nature Preserve. No dogs. Be prepared to walk two miles or more. Ages 10+. Free. Advance signup required.


A Garden in the Desert at Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort

  • FREE (museum admission $3, children 12 & under free)

  • A Ranger will be on the site of our flourishing Pioneer Garden to discuss the wide variety of crops with park visitors. Come learn about the plants that the original settlers grew and observe harvesting and processing techniques.


Disney Day at Discovery Children's Museum

  • Museum admission, Disney Workshop: General Admission $6, Members $3

  • Special programming will include Disney Trivia, sword and wand design, exploration of animation, Disney Karaoke, and special Disney inspired art projects. Learn the scientific secrets behind magical powers, join us for a Hidden Mickey Scavenger Hunt, and visit with characters throughout the day! Visitors are encouraged to come dressed up in their favorite Disney themed costumes, however it’s not required for admission to the happiest place in Las Vegas.

Summer Family Program at Nevada State Museum: "Bug Detective"

  • Learn the clues that tell you who’s who in the insect world. Kids of all ages are invited to join us in the Education Room on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 5 pm to enjoy hands-on, drop-in activities. Families can explore Nevada topics through demonstrations, activities, and art projects. No registration is required, and programs are free with regular museum admission. 


The Story Pirates at Historic Fifth Street School

  • The Story Pirates is a high-energy, musical sketch comedy show that celebrates the words and ideas of kids. Join first-rate actors and comedians for stories written by kids from all around the country and brand new stories written by kids in the audience. Story Pirates will delight and surprise with puppets, enlivening songs and outrageous sketches, all while motivating kids to pick up a pencil and write down their own fantastic adventures. Admission to this special Encore Performance includes refreshments and a meet-and-greet with the cast!


Asian Moon Festival Concert at Clark County Library

  • End-of-summer/ early autumn is an auspicious time for Asian cultures as they hope for a bountiful harvest, remember their ancestors, celebrate the next generation, and look forward to the rest of the year with wishes for good health, good luck and much happiness ushered in by the seasonal moon and stars. In an all-encompassing tribute to Asian culture, the masterful musicians of Li Lin Hong Chinese Music Ensemble return to the Clark County Library Main Theater for an astounding performance of folkloric and contemporary songs in our special Asian Moon Festival concert.


Andy Hedges : Cowboy Songster at Winchester Cultural Center

  • Cowboy songster Andy Hedges will present a program of old-time cowboy songs, cowboy poetry recitations, storytelling and traditional folk music at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, just north of Desert Inn Road. Tickets for the concert are $12 in advance, $14 the day of the show and can be purchased at the front desk or online.


Performing & Visual Arts Summer Camp for Kids 2018 Final Musical Productions at West Las Vegas Library Theatre
