National Pi Day is the annual holiday that honors the math constant pi (3.14) and this year it falls on Monday (March 14th).
It first began in 1988 when physicist Larry Shaw organized the holiday in San Francisco.
As a result, there are a bunch of special pie and pizza deals available to consumers to commemorate the date.
Here are some of the specials:
PIES
- Bakers Square – customers who purchase an adult entrée and drink get a free slice of pie every Wednesday
- Boston Market – get a free chicken pot pie with any pot pie and drink order when you use the app.
- Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen – Buy one get one Cheddar’s chicken pot pie on March 14.
- Goldbelly – 30% off select pie orders now through March 14.
- Marie Callender’s Restaurant and Bakery – get a free slice of pie at participating locations with the purchase of any adult meal.
- Whole Foods Market – take $3.14 off any apple or cherry pie from the bakery 8 inches and larger on March 14. (Bakery half pies, frozen pies and pie slices are excluded).
PIZZAS
- 7-Eleven – get a large pepperoni, extreme meat or triple cheese pizza for $3.14 (you have to sign up for the 7Rewards program or download the 7-Eleven app and limit two per customer).
- Blaze Pizza – get any 11-inch pizza for $3.14 when signing up for the Blaze Pizza rewards on the app.
- Papa John’s – purchase one large pizza at regular price and get a second for $3.14.
- Sbarro – get a free NY XL slice with the purchase of any beverage (you have to join Sbarro’s Slice Society rewards program to get this offer).
- Uno Pizzeria & Grill – get an individual thin-crust cheese pizza for $3.14 at select locations only.
