Reclaim Your Morning Routine with these two tips

Before COVID-19 hit, we were all in a morning groove (we hope). Some people got in a workout before work and ate a healthy balanced breakfast while others took a long shower and hopped in line to get coffee just in time to be 10 minutes late to work. But then the pandemic hit and blew up everyone’s AM. So here are some tips on how to reclaim them.

  • Take Advantage Of The Upcoming Transition Time. This is your chance to hit reset on your time before work. Think about your mornings before and during the pandemic and clear out all the habits you know made the rest of your day drag. If you’ve added a new healthy piece to your routine, keep on making time for it. Productivity consultant Lisa Zaslow says to be deliberate with this transition back so you don’t fall into your old, not so healthy,
  • Don’t Forget The Small Stuff. Zaslow says consistency is key. “Get a good night’s sleep, wake up at the same time every day, have a consistent start time for work, and have a plan for the day.” Once you’ve got that down you can start adding and fine-tuning it until you become the morning person you were born to be!
