Black Millennials: 10 Podcasts Made For Us By Us

Navigating the podcast space as a black millennial can be challenging. With thousands of podcasts catered to our counterparts, sometimes you just need a little help finding the one, two or ten for you.

While this curation of ten black millennial podcasts is by no means the end all be all list of black podcasts you should give a listen to, I'm hoping it will (at the very least) put some bomb a** podcasts on your radar and/or introduce you to some boss a** podcast hosts. (To note: Not all of the podcast hosts are millennials, but the message is still the same: these podcasts are made by us for us.)

So, scroll on down and check out ten podcasts (listed in no particular order) for black millennials.

1. The Read

The Read was one of the first podcasts put on my radar. It is, in essence, you listening to two best friends — Celebrity Analyst/Shade Connoisseur Kid Fury and writer/NYC hater Crissle— talk about pop culture, politics, mental health and a whole lot more. However, unlike podcasts of its kind, they're hilariously real and full of opinions that you either love or hate, but you always come back for more. And of course, they wouldn’t be "The Read" if they didn’t throw oak tree sizes of shade! (IYKYK)

Wesley Morris and Jenna Wortham do an excellent job of storytelling without over-telling (you know, what I mean — they're not longwinded) and they make it fun!
