Google Omits Rush Limbaugh Show In Search Of Most Syndicated Radio Shows

Google, your political bias is showing. A recent search to see what the most syndicated radio show is came up with results that would leave you to believe that Morning Edition is number one with 14.7 million weekly listeners.

All Things Considered comes in at number two, followed by The Dave Ramsey Show and The Sean Hannity Radio Show. Do you notice a popular radio show that is missing from that list? If you guessed The Rush Limbaugh Show, you are right. Clicking through to the Wikipedia link you will see that Rush beats Morning Edition by over 10 million weekly listeners.

Google responded with the following statement:

“Featured Snippets are an automatic and algorithmic match to the search query, and the snippets come from third-party sites. These sites are attributed at the bottom of the Featured Snippet, and the user can click through to those sites directly from the Featured Snippet in Google Search. We’re always working to improve our algorithms, and we welcome feedback on incorrect information, which users may share through the ‘Feedback’ button at the bottom right of the Featured Snippet.”

Google's algorithm had all the correct information in the source link and should have listed Rush as the number one result, yet for some reason, The Rush Limbaugh Show was not listed. Either the algorithm is broken, or something fishy is going on.

This isn't the first time Google has been accused of having a liberal bias in their results. A recent study found that searches for political terms showed more liberal-leaning webpages than conservative ones. Another report claims that the Google Auto-complete tended to favor Hillary Clinton, while rival search engines Bing and Yahoo! did not.
